Who Our Client Is


Our client is a groundbreaking community located along the Gulf of Mexico on Florida’s panhandle coast, six miles east of Seaside on Scenic Highway 30A. They are a Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) whose architectural vision has its roots in the style of Bermuda architecture and in the courtyards of Antigua, Guatemala, the colonial capital of Central America. The development is in the early stages of town building and is actively building luxury single-family homes and condominiums in a planned mixed-use development. 

 

 


What They Need


Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join their Project Team to manage the oversight of construction projects from start to finish, utilizing computer and communication skills as well as working in a team environment with an established and growing residential construction company.   

 



What You’ll Do


  • Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, permitting, and identification of resources needed.
  • Project accounting functions including developing an estimate, establishing the budget, managing the budget, tracking of team expenses, and minimizing exposure and risk in the project.
  • Ensure that construction activities progress per predetermined schedule (i.e., using BuilderTrend software).
  • Periodic inspection of construction sites.
  • Communicate effectively with the subcontractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
  • Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the sales team, architects, interior designers, suppliers, sub-contractors, and laborers.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.

 



What You’ll Need


  • Minimum of 7-plus years of project management experience to include high end residential construction, commercial construction, and/or renovations/remodels.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, or another related field (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with team members, clients, subcontractors, and interdepartmental personnel.
  • Possess strong mathematical and computer skills. Proficiency with all MS Outlook, Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), scheduling software (i.e., BuilderTrend).
  • Ability to breakdown construction operations into a logical sequence of activities.
  • Ability to plan and organize a team effort, as well as work in a team environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills amongst team members, clients, as well as interdepartmental personnel.
  • Possess good time management, negotiation, and analytical/problem-resolution skills with respect for co-workers.
  • Written/verbal communication for project team coordination (Homeowners, Builder, Designers, Architects, Consultants, and Subcontractors) to address challenges promptly.
  • Electronic device competency for usage of computer, MS Surface, and/or smart devices.
  • Committed to doing quality work with attention to detail that can leave a paper/electronic trail easily understood by other team members while meeting deadlines.
  • Current with new industry trends/ practices and willingly to participate in industry events.
