Join Our Team as an LVN - IDD in California and Make a Difference!
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide exceptional care in a supportive residential setting for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This PRN position offers flexible scheduling in a small, personalized facility focused on enhancing the quality of life for our residents. As a valued team member, you will collaborate with an RN and Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each individual's needs. Your expertise will promote independence, safety, and well-being in a welcoming environment.
Required Skills:
- Valid California LVN license
- Prior experience working with individuals with IDD preferred
- Ability to assess resident needs and implement care plans effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of G-tube feeding procedures and medication administration
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in residential or long-term care settings
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Familiarity with documentation and electronic health records
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish or others)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Licensed Vocational Nurse license issued by the State of California
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical or residential care setting involving IDD populations
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to wear scrubs if desired; no open-toe shoes or clothes with holes
- Ability to pass background checks and meet all regulatory requirements
- Availability to work on a PRN basis, including first shifts overlapping with RNs and DSPs
- Commitment to maintaining a respectful and professional environment
