Position Title: LVN / LPN Location: Rochester, NY 14621-3011 Duration: 13 weeks Work Schedule: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Provided direct patient care to medical, orthopedic overflow, and long-term acute care patients in a fast-paced Medical-Surgical unit.
Conducted patient assessments and monitored changes in condition, reporting findings to Registered Nurses and physicians.
Administered medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
Performed wound care, dressing changes, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and patient monitoring.
Managed peripheral IVs, central lines, PICC lines, and assisted with line maintenance and infection prevention.
Delivered respiratory care, including oxygen therapy, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), tracheostomy care, and suctioning.
Assisted with enteral feeding tube management and monitored patient tolerance and nutritional status.
Monitored telemetry and reported abnormal cardiac rhythms and significant changes in patient status.
