Position Summary
The Senior Microsoft SQL Developer will support the modernization of
anenterprise tolling transaction platform undergoing a partial rewrite
usingmicroservices and modularization. This role is a critical part of
theAgile/Scrum project team and is responsible for developing, optimizing,
andmodernizing SQL components within a business-critical, high-availability
SQLServer environment running on Azure Virtual Machines (IaaS). The developer
willcollaborate with solution architects, cloud engineers, API developers,
andtesters to ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of
thedatabase platform, reporting to the Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and viewsto
support new application capabilities.
• Perform advanced performance tuning, indexing strategies, and
queryoptimization for a business-critical SQL environment.
• Modernize existing SQL components while supporting legacy SQL code
andstructures.
• Support new feature development aligned with the
microservices-basedapplication modernization approach.
• Collaborate with .NET Core/C# developers to ensure efficient data
accesspatterns and API/database integrations.
• Participate in modernizing existing database models to support
modular,scalable architecture.
• Support and maintain high availability environments using Always
