The industry is shifting, and some firms are adapting better than others. I’m working with a Colorado client adding a mid-level M&A attorney.

The appeal is specific: technically sophisticated transactions of $20M+, a 1,700-hour annual billable requirement, a collaborative culture, and compensation that corresponds to effort.

The Work:

M&A transactions typically ranging from $20M–$100M, alongside partners with large-firm backgrounds.

The Structure:

• Three days in office, with multiple office location options.

• Quarterly and annual bonuses tied to hours goals, with a higher bonus rate for every hour above the annual target.

• A relaxed, professional environment emphasizing team collaboration and lasting client relationships.

The Requirements:

• 3+ years of sophisticated M&A experience; large-firm experience preferred.

• JD from an accredited law school.

• Ability to work collaboratively with partners, associates, and clients on complex transactions.
