Machine Learning Engineer

The specific responsibilities include: Research, implement, and optimize deep learning methods for 3D geometry understanding, generation, and reconstruction (explicit and implicit representations). Develop pipelines translating sparse/high-level input (sketches, point clouds, prompts) into structured, editable CAD representations. Explore reverse-engineering pipelines that extract parametric/code-based primitives from point clouds or mesh scans. Build scalable systems for training, evaluating, and deploying 3D ML models, with attention to manufacturability, surface fidelity, and performance. Read and replicate state-of-the-art research and integrate ML outputs into CAD-driven workflows with the computational design and software teams. Minimum Requirements Hilos, Inc. seeks applicants for a full-time Machine Learning Engineer position at our offices in Portland, OR. Minimum requirements: MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Graphics, Computational Design, or a related field. Experience with building and deploying end-to-end 3D mesh-based ML services using PyTorch and Python; experience building end-to-end ML systems.
