Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

JOB TITLE/LOCATION:

Machine Operator – Santa Ana, CA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• For speed lathes, perform trim and deburr using hand tools.
• For assembly, install bearings into a housing using dedicated tools and fixtures.
• For hone, operate the hone machine to size the inner diameter of the part.
• For CNC lathes, perform load/unload operations and check size coming off the machine.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts.
• Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burring, swaging and all bench operations and inspection.
• Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.

EDUCATION:

•  High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 0-3 years of factory-related experience.
• Training in general safety, electrostatic discharge awareness, foreign object damage awareness and quality system awareness.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to present information effectively one-on-one.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works indoors within the office and manufacturing areas.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud.
• The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or to hear.
• The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Pay Range: $20 to $22/hour
