A growing manufacturer is hiring multiple Machine Operators for second- and third-shift opportunities. This position is responsible for operating CNC machinery used to produce custom aluminum extrusions, completing machine setups and adjustments, and ensuring finished products meet precise quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
-Operate CNC machinery used to manufacture custom aluminum extrusion products.
-Load and run CNC programs based on project specifications.
-Complete machine setups, offsets, tooling changes, and program edits as needed.
-Troubleshoot equipment and production issues to minimize downtime.
-Inspect completed parts and verify measurements against required specifications.
-Maintain tolerances typically within 1/32 of an inch.
-Perform routine machine maintenance and identify potential equipment concerns.
-Adjust to changing projects, product specifications, and production priorities.
-Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
-Complete additional production responsibilities as assigned.
-Second shift: 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
-Third shift: 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
-Second-shift differential: Additional $2 per hour.
-Third-shift differential: Additional $1 per hour.
Key Requirements
-At least one year of machine shop experience required.
-Previous CNC machine operation experience required.
-Hands-on experience completing machine changes and setups.
-Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
-Experience troubleshooting high-speed production machinery.
-Ability to perform quality inspections and work within tight tolerances.
-Strong attendance, punctuality, and professionalism.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Qualifications
-Previous fabrication or aluminum extrusion experience preferred.
-Experience loading and editing CNC programs.
-Familiarity with offsets, tooling changes, and machine adjustments.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to follow work instructions, blueprints, and production specifications.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
