Position Title: Machine OperatorDepartment: Machine ShopLocation: Fenton, MOReports To: Machine Shop SupervisorClassification: Hourly – Non-Exempt Schedule: Weekend Shift 5am-5pm Friday-Sunday Position Summary: This position will operate various machines simultaneously. They will use calipers, dial indicators, and fixed gauges to test metal parts to ensure quality. Requirements include but are not limited to: Must be safety and quality conscious, have mechanical aptitude, be able to lift up to 35 pounds and work in an oily environment. PPE such as safety glasses and hearing protection are required at all times. Essential Job Duties:Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Required Education:High School Diploma/GED EquivalentBasic Math Desired Experience:Six (6) months machining experience.Hydromat experience a plus.
