Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Location: Greenfield, MO

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM
Pay: $15.15 per hour
Summary of the RolePenmac Staffing is hiring Machine Operators for a 2nd shift position at a manufacturing facility in Greenfield, MO. This position involves operating and monitoring production equipment used in the processing, packaging, and handling of various lawn and garden products. Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production and packaging machinery to maintain efficient production.
• Set up machines, make basic adjustments, and monitor equipment performance throughout the shift.
• Ensure machines remain supplied with necessary materials to prevent production delays.
• Monitor product flow, packaging accuracy, and overall quality.
• Identify equipment malfunctions, clear minor jams, and assist with basic troubleshooting.
• Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet production standards.
• Assist with material handling, including moving, stacking, and organizing finished products.
• Monitor production lines to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Keep machinery and surrounding work areas clean and organized.
• Follow all safety procedures, equipment guidelines, and company policies.
• Assist with additional production and warehouse duties as needed.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn various types of production equipment.
• Ability to recognize and address minor equipment issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Dependable attendance and ability to consistently work scheduled 2nd shift hours.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain safety standards, and work independently or as part of a team.
• Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience is a plus but not required.
