Title: Machine Operator
Location: 7030 Ardmore St, Houston TX 77054
Pay: $20 - 25
The Honing Operator is responsible for operating horizontal honing machines to produce precision components that meet dimensional, geometric, and surface finish requirements. The role includes loading and unloading parts using overhead cranes, performing inspections, maintaining equipment, and supporting other machining and finishing operations as needed. The ideal candidate demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to cross-train and operate similar manufacturing equipment, including gun drilling and deburring processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of honing machine operation experience preferred.
- Direct experience operating horizontal honing machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of precision measurements, tolerances, and surface finish requirements.
- Experience working with complex, high-value machined components.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating the specific machine brands referenced in the requisition.
- Experience with overhead crane operation.
- Forklift experience/certification is a plus but not required.
- Additional machine shop experience or operation of other machining equipment.
