Job Summary
Machine Operators work on machines to produce quality products safely and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Learns the operation of the equipment.
- Maintains a correct record-keeping system to ensure production efficiency meets company standards
- Know the functions and processes for efficient operations.
- Performs start-up procedure for equipment
- Completes all duties and responsibilities following company safety and environmental policies.
- Work with technicians to make small adjustments and understand where things might go wrong
- Learn the sounds and mechanics of the machine you are operating
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with machine technicians to determine needs.
- Maintains a safe and clean work area.
- Performs other duties as directed.
- Keep lots separated and correctly labeled; do not mix lots
- Follow safety procedures regarding hoists and other potentially hazardous objects
- Keep an eye on the wastewater and other sources of waste streams to let water treatment know what to clean
Qualifications:
Experience - On-the-job training, some mechanical knowledge preferred
Education - High School diploma or GED
Supervision received - Direct oversight from the Supervisor
Mental and physical demands - attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and vision, good math skills, ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
