Machine Operator - Lathe
Local Steel Warehouse – Charlotte, NC | $25/hr+ | Full-Time
Are you ready to join a strong, safety-focused team with long-term stability and real opportunities to grow? We're hiring a Lathe Machine Operator with general warehouse experience to support operations at our steel processing facility in Charlotte, NC.
Schedule & Pay
- Monday to Friday – 6:00am - 2:30pm
- $25.00/hour
- Overtime Available
- No nights or weekends
What You'll Do
- Operate machines to cut steel to exact specifications
- Handle materials such as bar, tubing, plate, sheet, and structural steel
- Use forklifts, cranes, and side loaders (we'll train you!)
- Verify sizes and order accuracy using tape measures and heat numbers
- Help check in, rack, and color-code incoming materials
- Keep your workspace clean, safe, and organized
What We're Looking For
- Steel industry background preferred
- Can read a tape measure accurately
- Solid basic math and measurement skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Willingness to train and operate warehouse equipment safely
