Machine Operator Weekend

Our client is seeking Machine Operator Weekend to join their team, you will be part of the Powders Shift & Schedule supporting weekend production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a focus on quality, and the drive to meet productivity and documentation expectations—while staying ready to learn, improve, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Job Title: Machine Operator Weekend

Location: Ames, IA

Pay Range: $25.00 hour 

Shift: Weekend Shift; Friday-Sunday 5am-5:30pm. 12 Hour Shifts – 36-hour work week.

What's the Job?

• Responsible for producing quality products per the build signal.
• Gather materials and set up straightforward equipment to support production.
• Machine Operating Experience minimal 1 year 
• Maintain quality of products produced according to department standards and visual or dimensional specifications.
• Meet productivity standards and record/maintain quality or traceability information.
• Troubleshooting, working independently, attention to detail 
• Comply with company safety policies, including safe operation of equipment, PPE usage, hand tool safety, lock-out/tag-out, and proper storage of tools; follow good housekeeping policies.

What's Needed?

• Ability to accurately perform required computer data entry and work order transactions (including LOTS, scrap, Oracle, ARIBA, kanban, DRP, etc.).
• Experience maintaining equipment according to work instructions or preventive maintenance tasks, including some troubleshooting.
• Comfort supporting visual management of part and raw material storage and keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Ability to handle and accurately dispose of chemical and non-chemical waste, including some hazardous and regulated waste.
• Willingness to participate in team meetings, plan daily work with resource utilization, and support problem solving, project work, cycle counting, and inventory/material handling.
