Urgently Hiring Machinist!

 

Entry level position responsible for fabricating, modifying, and repairing custom parts for production equipment using CNC mills, CNC lathes, and manual milling machines. Ideal for a recent trade school graduate with hands-on machining experience who is looking to develop their skills in a manufacturing environment. 

 

Requirements & Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and manual milling equipment to fabricate repair parts. 
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders. 
• Set up machines, select tooling, and verify finished parts meet required specifications. 
• Use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges. 
• Assist maintenance technicians with custom replacement parts and equipment repairs. 
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area organized. 
• Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and lockout/tagout requirements. 
• Maintain accurate work orders and material records. 
• Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of 8-10 hour shifts. 
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs. 
• Required to wear all necessary PPE; safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed footwear, etc.

Qualifications: 

• Completion of an accredited machining, manufacturing technology, or CNC trade school program required. 
• Entry-level; 0-1 year of professional experience. Hands-on school or lab experience accepted.
• Experience with CNC milling, tuning, and manual milling equipment. 
• Ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T.
• Knowledge of shop math, precision measuring tools, and machine shop safety. 
• Basic G-code/M-code knowledge is a plus.
• NIMS certification or CMMS experience preferred. 

Schedule & Pay:

• Full-time, long-term position
• Evaluation to hire (30-45 days)
• Monday through Friday, 7am-3pm
• Pay starts at $26/hr with growth opportunities.
