- Works as part of a larger team
- Expected to independently manage assigned daily responsibilities
Position Summary
As a Mail & Print Services Assistant, you will support all aspects of mailroom operations within a building or campus, ensuring accurate processing and routing of incoming packages and mail.
Typical Workday
- Receive packages from delivery trucks
- Move packages through conveyor processing stations
- Verify package destinations using tracking tools
- Print and attach routing labels
- Ensure packages are routed to the correct internal destination
- Perform computer-based tracking and processing tasks throughout the day
Daily Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming packages delivered to the facility
- Handle packages arriving on pallets from delivery trucks
- Process packages through a conveyor system
- Review shipping labels and package information
- Use shipment tracking tools to determine the correct destination
- Print routing labels and apply them to packages
- Ensure packages are accurately sorted and routed for delivery
Required Skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to navigate computer-based applications and tracking systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Shipping and receiving experience
- Warehouse experience
- Knowledge of mailroom or logistics operations
Experience Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience
- Some shipping, receiving, warehouse, or related operations experience preferred
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Software Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic computer proficiency
