We are seeking a Mailroom Associate to support a busy university mail room operation. This contract position is scheduled from 8/17/2026 to 10/30/2026. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a high-volume environment, standing for extended periods, completing campus mail runs, and assisting with a variety of print, mail, and office support functions.
Sort, distribute, and handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, faxes, and supplies.
Perform external walking mail runs across campus and deliver completed jobs to designated locations.
Operate high-volume copy machines, printers, scanners, document imaging systems, postage meters, and mail management equipment.
Complete copying, scanning, document imaging, binding, finishing, hole drilling, stapling, shrink wrapping, and other production tasks.
Use MS Office, email systems, and document management software to open, save, transfer, and process files.
Generate digital reports for printing, imaging, and mail systems.
Perform quality checks on copier equipment, clear paper jams, and report equipment issues.
Maintain supply inventory, job records, billing logs, service logs, and equipment records.
Calculate job charges and maintain accurate documentation.
Respond to customer questions regarding job status, requests, and service needs.
Perform shipping and receiving duties, including handling materials and supplies.
Maintain copier areas, mailroom areas, and workspaces in a clean and organized condition.
Assist with filing, document archiving, meeting room setup, office moves, and general building support tasks.
Operate office equipment including copiers, fax machines, calculators, postage machines, paper cutters, and bindery equipment.
Perform occasional light maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned.
May require occasional overtime, including nights and weekends, based on business needs.
High school diploma or GED required.
1-2 years of related work experience required; mailroom, copy center, printing, or document services experience preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and staff.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office, email, and file management systems.
Ability to operate office machines and technical equipment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, and lifting/moving items up to 50-55 lbs.
Ability to work on foot for extended periods and walk between campus buildings.
Valid driver s license required for conversion to a Client's employee.
