Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe CICS System Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize CICS Transaction Server environments across production, test, and disaster-recovery regions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM z/OS and a strong understanding of CICS administration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, maintain, upgrade, and tune CICS Transaction Server environments.
• Perform CICS installation, upgrades, PTF application, and maintenance.
• Configure and support CICS regions, including DFHSIT and system initialization parameters.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, including transaction response time, CPU utilization, and storage usage.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Work onsite three days per week as required.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with CICS Transaction Server administration on IBM z/OS.
• Proficiency in CICS installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of DFHSIT and CICS system initialization parameters.
• Experience in performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Ability to analyze transaction response time, CPU utilization, and storage usage.
• Willingness to work onsite three days per week.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience supporting production, test, and disaster-recovery CICS environments.
• Familiarity with OMEGAMON, MainView, or TMON tools.
• Expertise in CICS performance tuning and bottleneck elimination.
