Mainframe Systems Analyst/Interface & Documentation Specialist. This is a

Pay Range: $55 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:- For assigned interfaces, provide independently verified source-to-target mappings and an interface inventory covering relevant layouts, element IDs, offsets, lengths, transformations, schedules, dependencies, and owners/SMEs.
- For assigned analysis, provide applicable data-flow and process diagrams, batch/job/file traceability, investigation findings, documented gaps and open questions, and supporting PBIs or follow-up notes.
- Document source evidence and unresolved assumptions, address review comments, and hand over version-controlled artifacts and a walkthrough for Navy Federal review against the assigned work item's agreed acceptance criteria.

- Understand end-to-end interfaces, data flows, dependencies, batch processing, source/target systems, and how applications exchange data.
- Perform field-level source-to-target mapping; validate element IDs, offsets, lengths, and transformations.
- Independently verify information rather than simply copying existing documentation.
- Troubleshooting and Traceability
- Trace processing and troubleshoot issues across platforms.
- Follow files, jobs, reports, and dependencies across systems.
- Identify business owners and subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Investigate unclear or obsolete processes and work through incomplete information.
- Documentation and Process Mapping
- Create clear, reusable interface documentation, mappings, process summaries, diagrams, PBIs, and supporting artifacts understandable to technical and business partners.
