Job Description
Precision Resources, a division of the Trimarc Group Inc., is currently seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer for a REMOTE CONTRACT position. This qualified individual will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of server operating systems, hardware, storage and application software while monitoring usage, performance, resources, and troubleshooting daily issues.
Responsibilities:
- Experience z/OS mainframe systems
- Perform capacity and performance tuning activities
- Knowledge of CICS architecture, internal interfaces and resource management
- Understanding of common mainframe utilities and programming languages like COBOL, JCL, SQL and REXX
- Storage Management
- Assist with planning, auditing, performing and testing disaster recovery of the mainframe systems and applications
- Mainframe tool support (BMC, Broadcom, IBM)
- Support and coordinate the on-call rotation schedules
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field is desired but NOT required
