Maintenance & Cleaning

Must be available to work full time. The hours are Monday-Saturday 6:30am-11pm as needed.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, dependable, and hardworking individual to join our team in a Maintenance & Cleaning role. This position plays an important part in keeping our restaurant clean, safe, organized, and operating at a high standard.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys cleaning, notices the small details, and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure our restaurant is maintained properly. While many responsibilities will focus primarily on the kitchen, this position will assist with cleaning and maintenance throughout the entire restaurant as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen & Back-of-House Cleaning

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work areas, counters, and surfaces.
• Clean and scrub floors, including hard-to-reach areas and areas underneath equipment.
• Clean walls, doors, baseboards, corners, and other areas that may collect grease, dirt, or buildup.
• Clean and maintain vents, exhaust areas, and other ventilation components as assigned.
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and other items as needed.
• Clean sinks, drains, dish areas, and surrounding areas.
• Remove grease, food buildup, and other debris from kitchen surfaces.
• Assist with deep-cleaning projects and scheduled cleaning tasks.
• Help keep storage areas, closets, and back-of-house spaces clean and organized.

Restaurant-Wide Cleaning

• Maintain cleanliness in the dining room, restrooms, entryways, and other guest-facing areas when needed.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, floors, and other surfaces throughout the restaurant.
• Empty trash and maintain dumpster and surrounding areas.
• Identify areas that need additional cleaning or attention and address them appropriately.
• Help maintain a clean and organized environment both inside and outside the restaurant.

Maintenance Support

• Assist with basic cleaning-related maintenance tasks.
• Report broken, damaged, or malfunctioning equipment and facility issues to leadership.
• Help with routine upkeep of restaurant equipment and facilities.
• Follow proper procedures when using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and tools.
• Properly care for and store cleaning supplies and equipment.

What Success Looks Like

A successful person in this role doesn't simply complete a checklist. They look at the restaurant as a whole and notice what needs attention.

We are looking for someone who will see a dirty wall, buildup underneath equipment, a vent that needs attention, or an area that has been overlooked and take the initiative to address it. The goal is to consistently maintain a restaurant that is clean, safe, organized, and ready for both our team and our guests.

Physical Requirements

This position may require:

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting
• Moving cleaning equipment and supplies
• Scrubbing floors and other surfaces
• Working in hot and cold environments
• Working around kitchen equipment
• Performing detailed cleaning in tight or difficult-to-reach areas

The person in this role should take ownership of the cleanliness and condition of the restaurant and understand that the details matter.
