Food Safety Role & Responsibility:
As an individual, the incumbent must understand the Food Safety Statement, complete therequired training, perform work assignments in accordance with training and display anacceptable level of competency with all Quality Assurance/Safety/Security policies and trainingrequirements. Areas of food safety training will include, but are not limited to, GMP, Food SafetyPlan, Listeria, Food Safety and Quality Statement, FSSC 22000/Global Food Safety Policy/FoodSafety Goals, Visitor/Food/Site Security, Emergency Preparedness, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
Some additional items will include:
Release of Maintained Food Contact Equipment, TaggingEquipment for Decontamination, Cutting Blade Inspection, Preventive Maintenance Laser Sorter,Lubricants and Equipment Oil Procedure, Preventive Maintenance Metal Detectors Unit, Daily andWeekly PM Prominent Tasks, Prominent System pH Probe Verification, Prominent SystemChlorine Probe Verification, Preventive Maintenance and Work Order Procedure, MaintenanceReactive Repairs, Facility Maintenance Procedure, and Maintenance Utility Cart Cleaning.
The individual must also request additional and/or refresher training if he or she feels that it isneeded to effectively perform requirements in specific areas of responsibility.
Monday-Saturday 6am-3:30pm or 7am-4:30pm
Summary:
The incumbent will oversee and coordinate all repairs, replacements and modifications ofprocessing, packaging and facility equipment with optimal quality and efficiency.
Job Function Statements – Essential Functions:
Physical Requirements:The employee is required to stand for extended periods of time (durationof the shift, 8 hours or more); walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel;crouch; bend continuously; or crawl. The incumbent must be able to climb stairs and ladders orstep up onto a platform several times throughout the shift; and is occasionally required to sit. Theemployee must be able to push/pull/lift and/or move 50 pounds. The incumbent must operate lightmotorized equipment, hand and power tools skillfully and safely.
Work Environment:The employee is occasionally exposed to wet/cold conditions of 34 – 36degrees and also at times hot conditions; high, precarious places (ex: 25 feet above ground levelfor extended hours); and outside weather conditions (rooftop). The noise level in the workenvironment is usually moderate to occasionally loud, which may require hearing protection.
