Description
DUTIES: It is the duty of the Director of Maintenance to ensure the facility is maintained in accordance with all Federal and State Regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the maintenance department and all of its employees.
- Maintains a neat and well-groomed appearance.
- Performs general services in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electricity, HVAC, refrigeration,
- sanitation, grounds, painting, wall covering, and cleaning.
- Strictly addresses to fire safety and emergency regulations, resident rights and interest.
- Supervises maintenance aides and ensures they are following all facility policy and procedures.
- Oversees all outside companies working within facility grounds.
- Acts as Safety and Fire officer in the building.
- Perform regular fire drills to ensure facility’s alarms are properly functioning.
- Maintains all required logs and records timely and accurately.
- Attends morning meeting daily.
- Reports to Assistant Administrator.
- Reports any problems with other departments immediately.
- Consults with Administration before ordering any costly or major parts.
- Consults with Administration before starting any major jobs within the facility.
- Performs all other tasks required by Administration.
