When Alfred Fain founded a small Rhode Island tire store in 1924, at the time no one could have predicted how Teknor Apex would become an international custom compounder sought out by companies around the world. After a nearly hundred-year journey that's carried us through acquisitions and expansion, we now have nine U.S. locations, as well as operations in Belgium, Singapore, Germany, and China.

Join the team behind our custom compounds.

General Function:

• Provide house/groundskeeping functions throughout the facility.
• Assist in training entry-level team members.
• Able to carry out assignments with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a clean, sanitary, and healthy environment for the public and employees.
• Vacuum carpets, mop floors, wash windows, dust furniture, scrub tiles, sanitize restroom facilities, pick up debris, and replenish paper and soap dispensers.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and tools in good working order.
• Safely use custodial supplies, equipment, and machines.
• Transport and store chemicals and waste in proper containers and locations.
• Operate floor scrubber, scraper, pressure washer, and/or lift truck.
• Other functions as directed by supervisor and/or management.
• Work safely and wear PPE as needed.

Skills/Educational Requirements:

• Previous custodial and facilities work experience.
• Reliable transportation.

Essential Requirements:

• Able to lift 30 lbs above head at least 4 times during an 8-hour shift.
• Able to climb ladders.
