Description

 Maintenance Lead – Apartment Community

Location: Denton, TX   Employment Type: Full-Time    Compensation: $21 hr

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and dependable Maintenance Lead to join our property management team. In this role, you'll be the go-to person for keeping our apartment community in top shape — leading hands-on maintenance operations while supporting and mentoring a small maintenance team. If you take pride in your craft, enjoy problem-solving, and want to make a real impact on residents' daily lives, we'd love to hear from you. Must be HVAC certified.

What You'll Do

  • Perform and oversee repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, and general building systems
  • Lead, train, and coordinate a maintenance technician team to ensure work orders are completed efficiently and to a high standard
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address potential issues proactively
  • Manage unit turns — preparing vacant units for move-in, including painting, cleaning coordination, and punch list completion
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests on a rotating on-call schedule
  • Communicate professionally with residents regarding service requests and timelines
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and equipment service history
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
  • Ensure the property is always safe, clean, and well-maintained

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and customer service mindset
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in various conditions
