About the Role
This position is responsible for directing and coordinating all aspects of the maintenance team, ensuring that all preventative and predictive maintenance tasks are performed efficiently and safely. This role exists to minimize unplanned downtime and maintain equipment quality and efficiency, contributing significantly to the organization’s operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate daily preventative and predictive maintenance tasks across all shifts.
- Collaborate with the Materials group to schedule upcoming maintenance tasks.
- Review data to enhance maintenance tasks and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Ensure the availability of materials and manage spare parts inventory for new equipment.
- Participate in production and shift meetings to address issues and provide recommendations.
- Oversee the selection, development, training, and discipline of maintenance team members.
- Perform performance appraisals and make recommendations on team member status changes.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain equipment safety and efficiency.
- Initiate actions to prevent nonconformities in product, process, and quality systems.
- Support EMS, ISO 14001 program functions, including regulatory compliance and audits.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives using advanced techniques.
- Authorize stoppage of production operations for safety or quality concerns.
- Manage plant waste disposal and perform other essential functions as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Five years of supervisory or managerial experience in a metal stamping facility or equivalent automotive manufacturing background.
- Experience in maintenance fields such as electrical, welding, schematics, hydraulics, mechanical power presses fabrication, and pneumatics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Journeyman's Card in the maintenance field.
