Position: Maintenance Mechanic
City: Surprise, AZ
Range of Pay: $24-32
Shift: 6:00am -3:00pm + OT 
Type: Temp-to-Hire

Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and machinery to ensure safe and efficient production operations. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge, preventative maintenance experience, and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues while minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities

• 
  Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
  
• 
  Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  
• 
  Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs to minimize production downtime.
  
• 
  Inspect, maintain, and repair conveyors, motors, bearings, belts, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment.
  
• 
  Perform routine equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issues.
  
• 
  Read and interpret mechanical diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
  
• 
  Assist with installation, adjustment, and replacement of machinery components.
  
• 
  Document maintenance activities, repairs, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  
• 
  Collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  
• 
  Follow OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company safety guidelines.
  
• 
  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  
• 
  Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• 
  Previous industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience required.
  
• 
  Strong mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair skills.
  
• 
  Experience with preventative maintenance programs and equipment inspections.
  
• 
  Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.
  
• 
  Experience maintaining conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and production equipment preferred.
  
• 
  Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  
• 
  Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
  
• 
  Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  
• 
  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  
• 
  Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
