Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities:
* Inspect various types of industrial, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic machines for functionality issues
* Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
* Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
* Perform maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
* Provide corrective maintenance and preventative measures to machines
* Keep logs of work and report on issues
* Undertake other duties as assigned




Requirements:
* Proven experience as Mechanic
* Knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
* Ability to use various hand tools (drills, grinders, screwdrivers, hammers, measuring tools etc.)
* Ability to follow procedures and practices and read instruction, schematics etc.
* Strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
* Good communication skills
* Problem-solving abilities

Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED); Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a plus
* 2-3 years" experience at a food processing plant
* Ability to read, understand, and follow production schedules, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills a plus.

Work Environment
* Cold temperatures in refrigerated processing areas.
* Wet, noisy environment with exposure to raw meat and cleaning chemicals.
* Shift work, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements
* Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
* Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs regularly.
* Standing for up to 8-10 hours per shift.
