Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a maintenance mechanic position at a manufacturing company in Danbury CT. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
The maintenance mechanic keeps the building and equipment in good repair by repairing a variety of machines, equipment and building functions.
The hours are 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday. The salary is based on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis recommended by machine manufacturers and needs
Program shop floor equipment
Evaluate and select new equipment to support the manufacturing process including ROI analysis
Set up and adjust machines as needs dictate
Responsible for spare parts inventory on production equipment
Layout and set-up of changes involving power, air water and equipment
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
2-3 years heavy mechanical background
Ability to set up, operate and repair industrial machinery
A working knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical and pressurized air systems
Computers skills, including Microsoft Office
Able to handle physical aspects of the job
Able to pass pre-employment screenings
