Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Team supporting plant maintenance. The ideal candidate will have excellent mechanical aptitude, good work ethic and be willing to work OT which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic-Rotating shift (1st, 2nd, 3rd) Lots of OT

Location: Hammond, IN

Pay Range: $37.70 per hour max

What’s the Job?

• Accurately diagnose and solve mechanical problems as they arise.

• Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment such as production machines, conveyor systems, hydraulics, power transmissions and all mechanical equipment.

• Visually inspects and performs preventative maintenance to machines and equipment.

• Follows blueprints, diagrams and service manuals to repair broken parts, realign and adjust mechanical components and to dismantle machines to gain access to the problem areas.

• Works on air and hydraulic pipes on the machines by measuring, cutting, threading and installing new pipe.

What’s Needed?

• At least 3 years of experience working in Maintenance
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to read blueprints
• Basic Welding skills
• Basic electrical troubleshooting, replacing switches, relays, etc.
