Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Division: Facility Services

Work Arrangement: Onsite only

Location: Houston, TX

Salary Range: $52,109 - $61,304

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible to install, repair and maintain machinery and equipment. The maintenance mechanic''s responsibilities will include performing regular inspections of machinery and equipment, carrying out preventative maintenance and fulfilling other duties such as building maintenance as assigned. To be a successful maintenance mechanic you should have a practical mind, mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to detail.

Job Duties

• Assembling, installing and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshooting equipment and performing routine preventative maintenance.
• Reading, interpreting and following instructions and operation manuals and schematics.
• Completing assigned work orders and communicating with the departments throughout the process.
• Cleaning, repairing and installing equipment and parts as needed.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Performs general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of Trade School or Associate's Degree program.
• Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Physical dexterity/ ability to lift heavy objects and use a ladder.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
