Job Details:
- Pay: $38.94/hr depending on experience
- 1-year assignment, possibility for conversion/extension based on performance and budget.
- Position will be mainly responsible for improving the reliability of plant equipment in various assigned areas. Reliability is generally improved through preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding plant equipment and machinery.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment and machinery, including troubleshooting, repairs, equipment rebuilds, adjustments, and changeovers to maintain production schedules and improve equipment reliability.
- Use SAP to enter maintenance notifications, document work orders, track repairs, identify required parts and materials, and communicate maintenance needs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, centerlines, and OEM manuals to diagnose equipment issues, perform maintenance, and improve machinery performance.
- Fabricate and repair industrial components using machine shop tools and perform TIG, MIG, and SMAW welding as needed. Safely rig, lift, and move equipment using hoists, cranes, and related equipment.
- Support breakdown elimination, preventive maintenance improvements, and 5S initiatives to reduce equipment downtime, improve productivity, and maintain organized work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures, SQF, HACCP, and GMP requirements while maintaining accurate maintenance records, supporting production teams, sharing technical knowledge, and completing assigned work according to business priorities.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic
- Previous background in GMP, FDA, or manufacturing environments
- Demonstrate knowledge of SAP documentation
- Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through troubleshooting skills.
- ability to perform quality welding including TIG, MIG, and SMAW
- Knowledge of gas types, joint types, heat/penetration requirements, and materials in order to determine the most appropriate weld technique.
- Ability to work in a team environment effectively and cooperatively.
