Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Santa Ana 
Shift: 3rd Shift
Schedule: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Pay Rate: $24.50 per hour
Availability Requirements: Weekend and Holiday availability required

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team on 3rd shift. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience in a food manufacturing environment and be committed to maintaining equipment reliability, food safety, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment.
• Utilize hands-on experience with:
  • Single-phase and three-phase wiring
  • AC/DC motor controls
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), including wiring and programming
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues quickly and efficiently.
• Assist production supervisors during equipment malfunctions and production downtime.
• Follow all food safety, quality, and legal compliance requirements.
• Request and track parts needed for preventative maintenance (PM) and work orders (WO).
• Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections on logs and reports.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production and mechanical equipment according to company standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred

• 2-3 years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Experience working with electrical systems and industrial controls.
• GMP and HACCP certification (or willingness to obtain company-provided certification).
• Sit-down and stand-up forklift certification.
• Boom lift and scissor lift certification.
