Maintenance Mechanic (2nd Shift)

Location: Zanesville, OH
Schedule: Full-Time | 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
Pay: $30.00/hour

Position Overview

Join our Zanesville Meat Plant as a Maintenance Mechanic! In this role, you'll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime, maximize efficiency, and support safe, quality food production. You'll also help maintain refrigeration systems, building equipment, and plant grounds while following all safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment and facility systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
  • Maintain refrigeration, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Assemble, disassemble, and repair machinery
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed
  • Complete maintenance logs and repair documentation
  • Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures
  • Assist with facility upkeep and support scheduled weekend or holiday maintenance as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years of industrial or general maintenance experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following: refrigeration, 480V 3-phase electrical, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, air compressors, or welding
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout and safe work practices
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently and as part of a team
