PPG Barberton/Norton, OH is hiring a Maintenance Millwright & Equipment Rebuilder to ensure mechanical systems perform flawlessly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you’ll do

• Install, modify, and repair facility machinery and mechanical systems
• Diagnose and correct faults on advanced building and production equipment
• Execute PMs on belts, piping, filters, mixers, valves, bearings, motors, gearboxes, dies, extruders, feeders, rolls, drive chains, classifiers, mills, seals, and pumps
• Troubleshoot, proof test, and implement preventive solutions
• Drive 5S standards for efficiency, cleanliness, and safety
• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Find root causes, develop options, and implement the right fix within time constraints
• Complete accurate records and maintenance reports
• Interpret and work from manuals, blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings
• Monitor production equipment to detect malfunctions
• Perform basic welding and fabrication
• Work in confined spaces and at heights using ladders, scaffolding, platforms, and roofs

What you bring

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience; chemical environment preferred
• Certified Maintenance Apprenticeship or Mechanical Institute Certificate
• Proven pump and gearbox rebuild capability
• HVAC or electrical background strongly preferred
• Proficiency reading technical manuals and CAD prints
• Ability to perform physical work, including confined-space entry and working at heights
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel) and CMMS experience (MicroMain, SAP, or similar)
• Ability to wear PPE, including a respirator
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
• Strong track record for attendance and safety

Pay, bonuses, and schedule

• Starting pay: $34.80/hour
• $1000 Sign-On Bonus: $500 after 90 days; $500 after 180 days
• $1000 Retention Bonus after 365 days
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (Mon–Fri)
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am (Sun–Thu)
• Overtime available based on business needs
