Hickory Run Energy Station is a 1,000 MW natural gas-fired combined-cycle facility located approximately 45 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. The facility features two Siemens SGT6-8000H gas turbine generators, two heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and a Siemens steam turbine generator, providing efficient and reliable power generation.
Opportunity Summary
As Maintenance Planner, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the safe, reliable performance of Hickory Run’s 1,000 MW combined-cycle facility and its Siemens turbine technology. You’ll plan outages and preventive maintenance, manage Maximo and critical spare parts, and coordinate maintenance activities across plant teams, OEMs, contractors, and vendors. This is an opportunity to apply your technical and planning expertise to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and directly influence plant performance.

Working Relationships
The Maintenance Planner reports to the Plant Manager and receives general directions from the O&M and Plant Engineering Managers. This position also coordinates with all plant personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant and its related processes.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Physical requirements include standing for extended periods of time, climbing stairs and ladders, working from elevated platforms and walkways at varying heights, and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds.
Power plant environment that may involve entering confined spaces, crawling through narrow areas, and handling hazardous materials, with exposure to fumes, extreme temperatures, and noise. Work may include high heat near equipment and varying outdoor weather conditions.
Some duties may require the use of protective equipment, which can include hard hats, safety glasses, and eye protection, air masks/respirators, ear protection, chemical suits, flame-resistant clothing (FRC), hot gloves, high-voltage protective gear, and fall protection. Fit testing for respirators may be required. Strict smoking restrictions apply in and around the facility.
Fitness for Duty
All personnel will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program, which includes a post-offer physical examination, drug screening, and post-employment random drug screening.
Work Schedule
The Maintenance Planner works a standard Monday to Friday day shift schedule. This position will require extended hours, flexible shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability as needed to support plant operations and business needs. The position will be included in supporting a rotating Manager on-call schedule with other managers at the station.
Some travel may be involved to participate in Manager, Owner, User Group, or other offsite meetings.
Compensation
This position offers an annual base salary ranging from $105,000 to $140,000 and includes eligibility for an annual performance bonus
