POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Reliability Maintenance your roles and responsibilities will include:
The client is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to support the plant's 24/7 maintenance operations by planning, organizing, and scheduling maintenance activities for mechanical and electrical craft personnel. This role is responsible for ensuring maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule while minimizing equipment downtime and supporting overall plant reliability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and schedule daily maintenance work for craft personnel and contractors.
  • Develop detailed maintenance job plans, work instructions, equipment outage schedules, and Gantt charts.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Plan and prepare for equipment shutdowns and outages, ensuring timely completion and efficient startup.
  • Manage maintenance work orders, Bills of Materials (BOM), and maintenance documentation.
  • Order and coordinate parts, materials, and services required for maintenance projects.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between maintenance, production, engineering, supply chain, and contractors.
  • Assist in determining maintenance priorities based on plant needs and production schedules.
  • Lead small maintenance projects and oversee contractor work to ensure quality and schedule compliance.
  • Maintain equipment maintenance plans and update preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Participate in post-outage reviews and implement process improvements for future maintenance activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Reliability Maintenancewho enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Reliability Maintenance would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance work orders, preventive maintenance, and equipment shutdowns.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of maintenance planning and scheduling experience.
  • Project leadership experience.
  • Experience with Oracle eAM, ADEPT, or other CMMS systems.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Welding, HVAC, or related field.
