Title: Maintenance Scheduler
Location: Sabine Pass, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Long Term Contract, extension likely)
Schedule: M-F, 6am - 3:30pm (40 HRS/WK and OT only if needed)
Description:
The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for developing and managing routine maintenance schedules to enable the efficient execution of maintenance activities. This role ensures the creation of methodical, well-structured schedules that optimize workforce utilization through maximum time on tools. The position coordinates equipment availability, manpower, materials, contractor support, and job oversight to deliver seamless, integrated plans that support safe and timely execution.
The Maintenance Scheduler receives administrative work guidance and career development through the Maintenance organization. Functional expertise and individual craft knowledge are gained through networking with the local organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize routine maintenance schedules using SAP S/4HANA and Prometheus.
- Coordinate labor, materials, contractors, equipment availability, and operations activities to ensure efficient execution of maintenance work.
- Manage resource planning, schedule integration, backlog prioritization, and maintenance execution planning.
- Monitor schedule compliance, resource utilization, and equipment uptime through KPI reporting, trend analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Identify scheduling constraints and implement solutions to improve maintenance effectiveness and reliability.
- Ensure maintenance activities and documentation comply with company, regulatory, industry, and OEM requirements.
- Support maintenance outages, inspections, turnarounds, and project activities through effective scheduling and coordination.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Reliability, Engineering, and contractors to support safe and reliable facility operations.
- Provide guidance on scheduling best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of maintenance scheduling experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar industrial facilities.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and Prometheus (required).
- Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, execution processes, and scheduling best practices.
- Knowledge of industrial facility equipment and maintenance crafts, including mechanical, rigging/lifting, welding, fabrication, insulation, and related disciplines.
- Experience coordinating and scheduling routine maintenance, outages, turnarounds, and small-to-large projects.
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in PHMSA-regulated facilities preferred.
- Valid TWIC card and driver's license required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail.
