Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Facilities manager and will provides services to the Bellevue College (BC) in the form of leading the related functions that will assist the process for faculty, staff and students at Bellevue College. This is a supervisory-level position that will lead a variety of journey-level trades workers and general maintenance mechanics performing work on physical plant, campus buildings, grounds, and/or or equipment. This position assists in the coordination and direction of total physical plant maintenance of the institution. They will develop and disseminate instructions and information to unit personnel to serve students, faculty, and staff at Bellevue College. This position supervises staff working on the 2 different shifts: Shift1: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday; and Shift 2:10:00AM to 06:30PM Monday to Friday. So the Incumbent has choice between the 2 shifts. Working in inclement weather conditions as required

Position Salary Range: $71,088/year - $95,664/year
The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidates qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations.

About the Department
The Bellevue College (BC) Maintenance Department within Campus Operations supports the Colleges primary mission by maintaining internal and external areas of all College Facilities and other assets. The department works in compliance with local, state and federal laws and agencies by following BCs policies, follows and maintains safety procedures and follow-up Campus Operations program on accidents and safety prevention techniques. Maintenance main responsibility is to provide satisfactory customer service to all students, faculty and staff within timely manner by finishing daily work request.

Minimum Qualifications
High School graduation and minimum two (2) years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction repair or work or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade.
Have a valid Fall Protection Certification or must be obtained within two (2) months of hire
Must have a valid Washington State Drivers License with two (2) years of driving experience
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to walk, stand, sit, or bend for extended periods of time and work in confined spaces.
Ability to work outdoors at times, in all types of weather.
Ability to occasionally work at heights up to 100 feet above ground level
Demonstrate basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), including email, internet use, and data entry.
Demonstrate ability to interpret basic wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
Demonstrate ability to work and communicate with students, staff and faculty of various backgrounds and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with BC Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) MEGAMATION
