Job Description

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of hourly employees. You will drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, and productivity while supporting inventory discussions to enhance machine efficiency. Collaborating with plant trades, you'll ensure tasks are properly documented and lead efforts to resolve machining concerns, increase machine availability, and identify throughput constraints for root cause improvements.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision and coordination of all hourly employees.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
• Support spare parts inventory discussions to assure machine efficiency.
• Work with plant trades to ensure all tasks are properly documented.
• Support the establishment of all assets and PM tasks for proper maintenance tracking.
• Lead role in resolving machining-related concerns and increasing machine availability.
• Identify throughput constraints and drive root cause improvements.

• Bachelors degree is preferred
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
• 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem-solving skills
• Lean Tools 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
• DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience
• TQM, PPAP, and DOEs experience
• Visual Factory Management
• Ergonomic analysis knowledge and experience

Work Environment

This role is based in a fast-paced UAW plant, requiring flexibility to work shifts and weekends as needed. You will be part of a dynamic manufacturing environment, utilizing lean manufacturing practices and synchronous material flow. The position involves managing unionized hourly personnel and ensuring a safe and efficient production line, focusing on continuous improvement, proactive planning, and cross-functional communication.

This is a Contract position based out of Brook Park, OH.

The pay range for this position is $37.94 - $37.94/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
