8–10 years of heavy industrial mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in a steel mill or melt shop
Formal training and strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Experience supervising, training, evaluating, and holding skilled maintenance employees accountable.
Demonstrated success with equipment breakdowns, preventive maintenance, rebuilding, troubleshooting, and downtime reduction.
Working knowledge of melt shop equipment such as overhead cranes, scrap-handling systems, PLC-supported equipment, HVAC, and related service equipment.
