Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our plant facility and manufacturing equipment, ensuring continuous operation with safety as the highest priority. The role involves determining root cause failures, making improvement recommendations, managing spare part inventory, and documenting all work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical equipment failures, including heating circuits, motor controls, VFDs, servo drives, pumps, vacuum systems, hot oil units, pneumatic systems, electromechanical solenoids, and motorized conveyors.
  • Contribute to measurable improvements in maintenance-related downtime and associated costs, supporting overall plant performance goals and sharing best practices within the company.
  • Plan and perform complex corrective and preventative maintenance, requiring thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical theories and principles.
  • Conduct facility HVAC preventive maintenance.
  • Manage work orders in the CMMS, recording problems, parts, and repairs.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work area.
  • Provide regular feedback to the manager on technical issues.

Education/Training Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A two-year college degree in a technical-related field or currently pursuing one is highly preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in electrical field applications is required.
  • Working knowledge of three-phase power, distribution panels, branch circuits, power transformers, lighting circuits, and overload protection.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety information, operating instructions, blueprints, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in selecting, using, and safely handling power tools and shop equipment.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Work Schedule:

  • Location: Zebulon, NC
  • Shift: 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3-day schedule
  • Night Shift 6 pm - 6 am
