What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two-year college degree or applicable technical training and certification preferred
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems
• Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience
• Ability to read metric and imperial prints, schematics, and equipment manuals
• Experience with rubber and/or plastic extrusion, injection molding, and extrusion equipment preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• CMMS software experience, including MP2 or SAP, is a plus
• Forklift, lift truck, and aerial lift operator experience is a plus
• Experience with OSHA standards and Lockout/Tagout preferred
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a manufacturing team
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary
• Ability to manage your own workload

What You'll Do as a Maintenance Technician:

• Safely install, perform preventive and routine maintenance on, troubleshoot, repair, and decommission equipment and machinery
• Perform hands-on maintenance work and provide direction to contractors and service companies assisting with projects
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, pipe fitting, carpentry, plumbing, welding and fabrication, sheet metal, machining, rigging, erection, HVAC, and refrigeration work
• Take a proactive approach to workplace safety during all maintenance activities
• Assist with facility startups and shutdowns as needed
• Order and schedule parts, materials, and services; conduct purchasing research; and maintain maintenance records, files, and manuals
• Maintain the Maintenance Crib and Office, ensuring tools and equipment are organized and in good operating condition
• Monitor inventory to ensure commonly used maintenance parts and consumables are organized and available
• Maintain shop and process control instrument calibration requirements
• Support compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and industry guidelines, including OSHA, ANSI, EPA, NFPA, OCWD, and TS16949:2002
• Maintain 6S, housekeeping, health, and safety standards
• Perform work in a manner consistent with the Cooper Standard Leadership Model
• Wear required personal protective equipment while on the manufacturing floor
• Travel to off-site locations when required
• Complete required training for equipment operation and injury prevention
• Perform additional duties as assigned
