Overview:
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of rotating equipment, compressor and pump stations, meter sites, LACT measurement equipment, and associated mechanical systems. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance, assists with equipment overhauls, maintains valves and measurement equipment, and ensures facilities remain safe, compliant, and reliable.
The position requires troubleshooting mechanical issues, responding to after-hours callouts, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and working safely in outdoor industrial environments.
Successful candidates will have experience with mechanical equipment maintenance, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently while supporting overall operational objectives.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:.
- Performs daily and routine maintenance on all mechanical equipment.
- Assists during overhaul of compressors/pumps.
- Valve Maintenance and repair - must have repaired and maintained double block and bleed, gate, slab gate, ball and relief valves
- Keeps accurate and up to date records of all maintenance performed on equipment.
- Assures equipment is in good running order at all times to stay in compliance.
- Maintain & repair mechanical meters & LACT equipment.
- Reports any equipment that is not in compliance to Supervisor and/or Superintendent.
- Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment.
- Maintains, adjusts, makes minor repairs to, and operates equipment.
- Helps develop a preventative maintenance program to identify potential failures before they occur.
- Minimizes maintenance costs on equipment while maximizing run time and throughput.
- Completes appropriate documentation and paperwork for all maintenance activities performed.
- Reports all excessive downtime to appropriate people.
- Responds to after hour callouts and responds in a timely manner.
- Helps out in other areas of the business as needed.
- Maintains company vehicle appropriately.
- Other duties as assigned.
