Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Pay: $24–$29/hr (Plus 15% Shift Premium)
Type: (Contract-to-Hire)
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for a contract-to-hire opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supporting equipment reliability, building maintenance, and production uptime across stamping presses, automation systems, and related plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repair and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, presses, automation systems, and facility infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Operate forklifts and man lifts as needed
- Support press setup activities and contribute to reducing setup time through teamwork and continuous improvement
- Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and electrical safe work practices
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks, corrective repairs, and equipment improvements per maintenance schedules
- Accurately document downtime, work orders, and maintenance activities following established procedures
- Support wastewater handling duties after required training
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and waste reduction efforts
- Collaborate with production and maintenance leadership to support operational goals
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of stamping presses, conveyors, CNC machines, washers, and automated equipment
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication systems, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication schematics
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and diagrams
- Welding experience (MIG and/or ARC) and torch cutting experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with quality and compliance systems (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, or similar preferred)
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs frequently
- Extended periods of standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion
- Occasional ladder use for facility maintenance
- Manufacturing environment with continuous noise exposure
- Must be willing to work overtime as required
