Description
Position Purpose:
The Maintenance Technician works to maximize the productive time of equipment plantwide. Improve the reliability and repeatability of production systems. Conduct PMs on a routine basis, making suggestions for improvement. Troubleshoot equipment problems from a mechanical, electrical, and program basis, finding and resolving the root cause problems. Coordinate and assist with the equipment installation and start-up.
Essential Functions:
Follow safe work practice and support safety, quality, and productivity objectives
Complete periodical and incidental machine maintenance in an accurate and timely manner. Perform task as outlined on preventative maintenance schedules of equipment manufacturer's recommendations.
Plan and implement corrective action in conjunction with management direction.
Comply with all safety standards and regulations.
Maintain building, equipment, and grounds in a clean and orderly manner.
Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs on equipment, building, grounds issues and implement correct remedy to minimize downtime
Assist in the quotation, purchase, and proper inventory management of maintenance supplies and equipment parts as required or directed.
Utilizes designated tools and software to manage daily task and complete assigned preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance
Support engineering and other department projects
Education and Training
Associates degree in industrial maintenance or other related technical field preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of dedicated maintenance experience
5 years experience with single and three phase electrical system
2 years experience with PLCs, preferably Allen Bradley
Machining knowledge and welding capabilities required
Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, fluid power, mechanical and plumbing systems.
Proficient with reading blueprints & diagrams, electrical & hydraulic schematics, equipment manuals & work procedures.
Familiar with CNC controls, preferably Siemens or Fanuc
Familiar with applicable regulatory requirements outlined by OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC and other state/local organizations.
Robotic knowledge is a plus
Proficient with PCs and Microsoft-Office applications
Ability to work different shifts and holidays to support production and other engineering/maintenance projects
Position requires working overtime when necessary
