Position Overview

Lincoln Professional is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support operations at a residential apartment community in Alexandria, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have experience performing general maintenance repairs, apartment turns, preventive maintenance, and customer service-related work in a residential, multifamily, commercial, or facilities environment.

This position requires a hands-on professional who can work independently, troubleshoot maintenance issues, and help maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning property for residents and staff.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work throughout the property.
• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with apartment make-readies and unit turnovers.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, and drywall issues as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and routine property upkeep.
• Paint, patch, and repair walls, doors, fixtures, and other building components.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
• Communicate professionally with residents, property staff, and management.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Respond to maintenance priorities as directed by property management.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, facilities, apartment, building, or construction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
• HVAC experience is a plus.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, climb, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment

• Residential apartment community.
• Monday-Friday schedule.
• Work shirt provided by the client on the first day.
• Candidates should bring basic maintenance tools and work supplies as available.
• Professional, work-appropriate attire required.
