Role Description This full-time, on-site Maintenance Technician role is based at Clarendon 1021 Condominium in Arlington, VA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and common areas, including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC support, and general repair work. Daily tasks include responding to resident service requests, troubleshooting equipment issues, conducting inspections, and carrying out preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. The role also involves maintaining cleanliness and safety in mechanical and storage areas, coordinating with vendors or contractors when needed, and documenting work performed in maintenance logs or systems. The Maintenance Technician collaborates with property management and other staff to ensure the building operates efficiently and meets safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, with the ability to service common building systems and fixtures.
• Experience in Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and building-related issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance practices, including regular inspections, scheduled servicing, and documentation of maintenance activities.
• Background in Industrial Maintenance or similar environments, with familiarity in working around HVAC, pumps, and other building infrastructure.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, technical manuals, and safety procedures; basic computer skills for maintenance tracking are beneficial.
• Good communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and colleagues.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, and perform hands-on tasks throughout the building; adherence to all safety guidelines. xxzpjkt
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school, relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical), or prior property maintenance experience are preferred.
