Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance duties of Associations involving in-unit and exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs and minor roofing repairs in addition to other exterior responsibilities to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safely maintained. Work hours: Sun. - Thurs., 6:30am-3pm (Off on Fri and Sat). Daily responsibilities:

  • Walk and inspect common areas for maintenance concerns.
  • Review Word Order Tickets through Building Link.
  • Update with work dome; close out when work is completed.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
  • Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
  • Inspect, operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Hourly pay rate: $27-$29.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 2+ years of general, residential, maintenance experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Customer service focused and team oriented.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, takes the initiative, with strong follow-up skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.); OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements and State or local governmental safety requirements.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
