The Maintenance Technician is responsible for taking ownership of the maintenance needs of the real estate portfolio. With minimal oversight and supervision, the Maintenance Technician will utilize basic carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing skills to problem-solve maintenance issues and ensure a high standard of safety and functionality.
Duties:
Maintain and repair properties and building systems including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, roofing, mechanical, carpeting, windows, concrete, drywall, and landscaping
Review, prioritize, and complete work orders, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards
Inspect properties routinely; identify areas in need of repairs or replacement; carry out proactive maintenance measures to resolve
Maintain and repair common areas of the property
Prepare areas for client needs, including preparing suites as appropriate and/or setup and breakdown of common areas or conference rooms for meetings.
Act as a liaison with clients, vendors, and service providers on location as needed
Provide manual labor as needed across the portfolio to ensure that all assets continue to perform as expected
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Previous experience in property maintenance, general repairs, or a similar industry preferred.
Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumping, electrical, painting, and HVAC.
Knowledge and use of power hand tools.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
The ability to follow and prioritize work orders independently
Strong communication skills and be able to provide direction to colleagues and outside vendors
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Physical and Working Conditions:
Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
Job may be performed in various weather conditions, indoors and outdoors
May need to climb up and down ladders or work in elevated areas
May need to work in confined spaces
May require on-call or evening hours

Employees will be screened using both the Ohio Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to process state and federal records using fingerprints.
